Famous for a 1976 Paris wine tasting where Chateau Montelena's chardonnay won out over several French wines, the winery has a history dating back to 1882. The modern tasting room is on the top floor of a stone castle. Their gardens and lake populated with koi and ducks are popular with visitors.
